One of the things patients tell us they value most is seeing familiar faces. North Lakeland Dental has an exceptionally experienced and stable team, with over 225 years of combined service. Many of our team members have been here for decades, caring for generations of the same families.
We want your dentist experience to be as easy as possible. With continuity of your dental team, we can ensure:
We see dentistry as a long-term relationship, not a series of isolated appointments.
Our clinicians bring a wide range of skills, but they share the same core values: kindness, honesty and a commitment to doing what’s right for each patient.
I started at NL in 2022 and when the opportunity arose to take over the practice I jumped at the chance!
After graduating in Liverpool, I worked in Coventry before moving to Australia for 3 years, working at an Aboriginal Health Centre in Eastern Victoria.
My aim is to make each patient feel completely comfortable and at ease with treatment. If you are anxious or nervous, I ensure myself and the team do everything we can to make your visits as easy as possible. I also love providing Invisalign clear aligners to help improve your smile.
My wife, son and I spend our weekends exploring Cumbria and beyond – we can be found out on the fells or checking out new places to eat!
I am originally from Sussex but have lived in Cumbria for over 10 years. My degrees are in Dental Surgery (BDS UCLAN 2015) and Oral and Craniofacial Science (Biomedical BSc Kings College London 2011).
I joined the practice in 2016, looking after all aspects of the local community’s oral health. I offer a wide range of general dentistry as well as cosmetic alignment options for straightening teeth and tooth whitening. I am also accredited in the BioClear method (composite bonding) for rebuilding or reshaping teeth without the need for complex crowns.
Rob, my fiancé, and I have two young boys who keep us on our toes. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, skiing, and scuba diving. I love the great outdoors - camping and biking in the beautiful part of Cumbria that we live in.
I qualified as a dentist from Leeds in 1991 and have over 32 years experience in dentistry. I joined North Lakeland in 2022 having previously owned my own practice in North Warwickshire.
I have a keen interest in Endodontics and am currently a MSc candidate in Endodontology (root canal treatment). Outside dentistry I enjoy cycling and open water swimming.
Joined NL in 2022
I originally started at NL as a dental nurse in 1981, leaving to become a dental hygienist. I returned to the practice as a hygienist in 1992 after qualifying from Newcastle Dental Hospital and have been practicing here ever since. I also enjoy socialising with friends and taking part in community events.
I graduated from Leeds university with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. In 2021 I joined NL after moving up to Cumbria from my hometown in West Yorkshire. Alongside working as a Hygienist, I study Dental Surgery at the Cumberland Infirmary.
Working with the lovely team at NL has definitely been one of the highlights of moving up to Cumbria. Outside of work, my life involves socialising with friends, climbing fells and revising for multiple exams!

My career as a Dental Nurse began here at NL in 1978. I really enjoy coming to work, having worked here for many years I have built up great friendships with colleagues and patients. Outside of work I am happiest when I am spending time with my family and pottering in the garden.
I came to NL in 2018 partway through my dental nurse training and with the support of the team went onto qualify some months later. Since then, I have also qualified in implant nursing. When I am not at work, I am busy being Mum to my little boy.
After completing my GCSEs in 2022, I came to NL as a trainee dental nurse. I enjoy being able to train on the job and I am looking forward to furthering my career once I have qualified. After qualifying as a dental nurse in December 2019, I later expanded my skills by achieving my qualification in dental implant nursing in March 2024.
